Edin builds and maintains taste layers inside our clients' own environments. Client material stays behind the client's perimeter and never comes into our custody. This policy covers the personal information we do handle — people who visit this site or get in touch with us.
This site is operated by Edin. For anything relating to privacy, write to privacy@edincloud.com.
Where we deliver a taste layer to a client, we act on that client's instructions under the terms of the engagement. That material — decisions, documents, corpora, and the verdicts produced from them — stays in the client's environment and under the client's control. It is governed by the data processing terms in the relevant agreement, not by this policy.
If you write to us or ask to start a conversation, you give us your name, email address, and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to reply and, if we work together, to run the engagement. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and performance of a contract once there is one.
Where we deliver services to an organisation, that organisation may give us contact details for the people we will work with. We use them only to deliver that work.
Our host records standard technical information when you load a page — browser and operating system, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, and which pages were viewed. We use it to keep the site working. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest.
This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics, we will name the provider here and ask for consent before setting anything non-essential.
We may write to you about our services where you have asked us to or where we have a legitimate interest in doing so. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by writing to privacy@edincloud.com.
We share personal information with third parties only where it is necessary to run our business or deliver something you asked for — hosting, email delivery, and professional advisers. Each is bound by contract to protect it and to tell us if they can no longer meet that obligation.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Personal information may be processed in the United States. Where information is transferred out of the UK or the EEA, we rely on an approved transfer mechanism and remain responsible for it.
We maintain safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, and our people may use personal information only to do the work they are engaged for. No transmission over the internet is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, then delete it. Removal from backups may take longer, and anything retained stays protected under this policy until it is gone.
Our services are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, write to privacy@edincloud.com and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may ask us to:
Write to privacy@edincloud.com to exercise any of these. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are in the UK or the EEA you may also complain to your supervisory authority.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
